Tõrva Veemõnula
Water saves the day!
When the sun shines down from above and drops of sweat trickle down your neck, you will feel the pull towards Tõrva Veemõnula. Children can splash with joy, while parental stress melts away like ice cream in the sun. Pools, saunas, and hot tubs offer fun for everyone, and when waves of exhaustion crash over your head, there’s no need to drive home; you can stay overnight on the second floor. Relaxation from morning till morning!

Mulgi Experience Center
UNESCO-listed... porridge?!
Located in the heart of Mulgimaa, like a gateway to a new world, the Mulgi Experience Center is a treasure trove of information. Guessing games, a wishing well, and an exhibition while swinging on swings ensure every family member leaves a little more knowledgeable.
Still, the question hangs in the air – is Mulgi porridge better than ordinary porridge? Answer: Yes, it certainly is! Afterwards, you and your family can confidently say that the journey was filled with both new flavors and new knowledge.

Taagepera Castle's Alice in Wonderland theme park
Thousands of flowers and magical sculptures
Adventures continue at Taagepera Castle, where it seems that Alice has taken over and turned the park into Wonderland! The sculptures are more imaginative than mere garden decorations. Adults must work hard to contain their excitement in this fairytale realm, while children have no such problem. They will be entertained by dashing around the park and taking pictures. When evening falls, settle into a king-sized, cloud-soft bed at the Wagenküll Hotel and convert this real-life bedtime story into gently snoring children.

On the shores of Lake Viljandi
The castle that doesn't quit
On a hill high above Lake Viljandi stands a castle no longer in its full glory, though its ruins stand proudly like an old knight refusing to retire. The suspension bridge over the moat sways just enough that even the bravest teenager will feel a slight, anxious shiver. (Of course, they won't admit to being afraid!)
After walking across the wobbly bridge and climbing the castle ruins, a dive into the refreshing waters of Lake Viljandi will help uplift the mood. You can always have a friendly family competition to see who jumps out first — the water is quite invigorating, to say the least!

The Kondas Centre
An art museum to make you smile
The last stop in Viljandi – the Kondas Center – does not mean the end of your family holiday in Estonia; instead, it just adds a colorful twist. Here, the art is not fussy and highbrow. The exhibitions are dedicated to outsider art, art done by regular people who followed their uncontrollable urge to create. The work is so fun and unique that children (and adults) will be inspired to make some of their own in the museum's workshops. Maybe they will find that they, too, could become a famous naïve artist in the future.
If your children have been demanding something to eat for a while, then you're in luck. In Viljandi, it doesn’t matter whether you’re craving French fries or fine dining; you can find both. Villa Maria has a large outdoor dining area with a play area to keep the kids occupied while the grown-ups enjoy their meal.

Põltsamaa Castle
A castle with a fascinating story to tell
Põltsamaa Castle is like a time machine – it takes you back to the days of wooden ships and iron wills, when evenings weren’t for Netflix but for watching Mom click her knitting needles. At the castle, you can peek into the everyday life of the good old days – what people ate, how they played, and how they managed to survive without electricity or fast internet. While you’re there, it’s worth climbing the castle tower because the view over Põltsamaa’s countryside is so breathtakingly beautiful that even your phone will understand it's time to be TikTok-free.

The Wittenstein Time Centre
An adventure between centuries
In Paide, you'll find another time machine — the Wittenstein Time Center. It places the whole family into the machine and flings them through the centuries. Here, even teenagers will see that history is more than just a dry chapter in a textbook. No one says, “I'm bored,” because the interactive exhibits are as exciting as a video game. No one will even ask for the WiFi password.

Toosikannu Nature Resort
Serene forest silence
At Toosikannu Nature Resort, a wild landscape unfolds. A female red deer appears with her herd and quietly picks her way between the trees. A bold buck glances at your car, assessing the brand’s suitability for this woodland. It feels like a real woodland safari, and the children's excitement will be heard from the back seat: “Look! He moved his head! He looked at me!” These safaris are best in the early morning – while young solo travelers are still dreaming, you and the kids will already be face-to-face with a deer at Toosikannu. Since you can stay overnight at the nature resort, you can begin your adventure straight from bed. You might be half-asleep when bam! a moose is giving you an early morning stare.
