Visit Estonia is excited to welcome you to Estonia! Thank you very much for your interest in this unique country. Our journey will take us to Tallinn, Estonia’s medieval yet trendy capital, and to Tartu, the European Capital of Culture 2024. Along the way, we’ll explore Estonia’s mystical bog landscapes during a snowshoeing tour in the Kakerdaja Bog, located in Kõrvemaa Nature Park.
We hope you will enjoy the magical winter landscapes of Estonia and the relaxed atmosphere of this charming country. Below, you will find the preliminary program for the trip, which we will update with more details as needed over time.

DAY 1, Thursday, December 5th
17.40: Arrival to Tallinn with LO 787
Welcome to Tallinn!
Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by Visit Estonia and transferred to city.
18.30 - 19.30: Embark on a delightful walking tour of Tallinn’s enchanting Old Town. Stroll through the cobbled streets, discover medieval architecture, and immerse yourself in the magical atmosphere of the Christmas market at Town Hall Square.
Free time at the market included.
20.00: Dinner at the old town, restaurant Art Priori, MICHELIN 2024 selected, high-level art on the walls and on the plates.

DAY 2, Friday, December 6th
Breakfast at the hotel.
09.30: Depart for the breathtaking Lahemaa National Park, located on Estonia's northern coast and is full of native forests, wetlands, and endless beaches. Photostop on the way, at Jägala waterfall, the widest natural waterfall in Estonia.
11.00: Embark on an exciting bog-shoeing adventure through the Viru bog. Immerse yourself in the peaceful beauty of the bog, surrounded by unique winter bog landscapes.

12.30: Savor a unique outdoor lunch at a forest restaurant, nestled in nature. Enjoy a memorable meal with the fresh air and scenic views of the wilderness.
13.30: Relax on the return drive to Tallinn.
14.30: Explore Tallinn on foot, visiting vibrant new areas like the Telliskivi Creative City and the bustling Balti Jaam food market.
16.00- 17.30: Craft Leather Workshop at Stella Soomlais Studio in Telliskivi Creative City. Get hands-on and create a unique leather item, either for yourself or as a special gift. All leather accessories in the workshop are crafted from production leftovers, giving them both sustainability and character.
Return to hotel and time to fresh up
19.30: Dinner in Kadriorg area, restaurant Mon Repos, MICHELIN 2024 selected

DAY 3, Saturday, December 7th
Breakfast at the hotel, check-out
Start your day with a hearty breakfast before checking out of the Radisson Collection Hotel.
09.00 - 11.15: Enjoy a scenic drive to Tartu, the European Capital of Culture 2024, known for its vibrant atmosphere and rich history.
11.30 - 13.00: Immerse yourself in Estonia’s rich heritage with a visit to the modern Estonian National Museum, a stunning architectural landmark that showcases the country’s culture and traditions.
13.15 - 14.30: Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant TOKO in Tartu
After lunch, we will embark on a walking tour to explore some of the most significant sights and landmarks in this historic university town, now beautifully blanketed in winter.
Highlights include the Aparaaditehas Creative City and Toome Hill Park. The tour concludes in the charming Old Town. PS: By the way, during the non-snow season, you can take the same route on a smart bike, as part of the city's green initiative to promote sustainable transportation. Tartu aims to reduce private car use to just 20% of all journeys by 2024.
17.00: Check-in at Hotel Antonius: Settle into the charming and boutique-style Hotel Antonius, known for its elegance and cozy atmosphere.
Optional pre-Dinner Activity: For a touch of winter magic, head to the Christmas Market and Town Hall Square for ice skating, a fun way to embrace the season and the local culture.
19.00: Dinner at restaurant "Pierre" in Tartu's Old Town: End the evening with a memorable dining experience in the historic Old Town.

Additional information:
For the bog shoe hike: as for clothing and footwear for the participants, we recommend dressing in layers according to the weather forecast for comfort. For the hiking trip, hiking boots or heelless rubber boots are suitable footwear. A small backpack is advised for personal belongings. It's also a good idea to bring spare socks and footwear in case your feet get wet and you want to change after the hike.
