West Estonia

Guided tour in Western Saaremaa – sights, stories, and Saaremaa humor

Discover the unique places in the western part of Saaremaa on a guided tour, where the island's peaceful nature, intriguing history, and charming folk tales create a memorable day.

The journey begins in Kuressaare and passes by the historic old bridge. On the way, we pass the legendary OO boulder – a strangely shaped stone, about which it is said that it was an old devil disguised as a horse who wanted to kidnap a village girl.

Next awaits the farm museum, where centuries-old farm life comes alive. In Kihelkonna, we visit St. Michael's Church and its rare, standalone bell tower.

The most joyful stop of the tour is the stone sheep "parliament." On the way back, we stop at Rauna observation tower, which offers views of Saaremaa's most forested area.

This tour combines the nature, history, and humor of Western Saaremaa, offering a day full of discoveries.

We can arrange transportation and catering if needed.
