Wanderlust guided hike to the Pirita River's ancient valley

This hiking tour to the Pirita River's ancient valley invites you to explore one of Tallinn's most varied natural landscapes, where the city's hustle and bustle is replaced by the tranquility of the river valley and the whisper of the forest.

The journey follows winding riverside trails and passes under centuries-old pines, offering you the chance to learn about local vegetation and, with luck, spot traces of moose activity. The Pirita River Valley Nature Reserve is an important habitat for many species and offers the joy of exploration in every season.

On the journey, we walk over a suspension bridge offering views of the Pirita River Valley. We pass through an area where peat was once mined, and in summer, you can enjoy sweet blueberries. Throughout the hike, the guide shares exciting stories about the area's history and nature. You'll also hear more about the tallest tower in the Nordics, the Tallinn TV Tower.

During the journey, we take a tea break to rest and enjoy the silence and beauty of nature.

See you on the tour of the Pirita River's ancient valley!
