Viking Village Weapon-Making Workshop and Forge Tour

At Viking Village, you can step into the world of an ancient warrior and experience what life was like when skilled hands made tools and military equipment.

In the weapon-making workshop, under the guidance of a skilled gunsmith, you can make an ancient warrior's combat equipment from soft materials for safety. You can then try out the finished equipment — shield, sword and helmet — on the battlefield in front of the castle, where you will be divided into two teams, learn tactics, and test yourself in a real Viking battle.

On the forge tour, you can peek into the blacksmith's world of work, see how a new object is born from fire and iron, and listen to stories from ancient times. Those interested can forge a nail as a souvenir. Up to 10 people can participate in the workshop and forge tour at the same time.
