Vasaristi Cascade
Vasaristi Cascade, in the heart of Estonia's oldest and largest national park, Lahemaa, is one of nature's most mysterious gems. This small but exceptionally picturesque waterfall is situated in the ancient valley of the Loobu River and offers visitors a powerful natural spectacle during the spring flood. The water roars in white foam as it cascades over the limestone edges, filling the surroundings with nature's mighty energy. It's no wonder that in spring, it is one of the most visited attractions in Lahemaa National Park.
What makes the Vasaristi Cascade unique is its rare natural form and impressive geology. The waterfall consists of three larger steps – 0.5, 1.5, and 1.6 meters high – and together with several smaller steps, the water falls a total of nearly 4 meters over approximately 10 meters.
In autumn, the surrounding forests turn golden and red, offering opportunities to enjoy nature and take stunning photos. If you're looking for a place to breathe in the moist moss-scented forest air and experience the primal power of Estonian nature, then Vasaristi Cascade is a destination definitely worth visiting.
