Tartu City Marathon 2026

Tartu City Marathon is one of the most popular sports events in South Estonia. It brings together thousands of running enthusiasts from Estonia and abroad every autumn. You can participate in this athletic challenge while enjoying city life and discovering the most beautiful places in Tartu.

The Tartu City Marathon route runs along iconic places: the Emajõgi River, Toomemägi, the historic Old Town, bohemian Karlova, and Supilinn, famous for its wooden houses.

There are three distances to choose from – 42, 21 and 10 km – offering options for both experienced marathon runners and amateurs. The program also includes the entertaining Friday Night Run, where hundreds of runners set out in the evening, as well as children's runs that bring joy to the youngest members of the family.

The marathon is also a special experience for spectators – the route is designed so that while you cheer on the athletes, you can also take a pleasant walk in the most beautiful places in Tartu. The Tartu City Marathon is therefore more than just a sports competition – it is an autumn sports party and a festival for the whole family!
