Snowshoe hike in Kakerdaja Bog with Matkajuht

This snowshoe hike takes you to one of the most famous and authentic bog landscapes in Northern Estonia, Kakerdaja Bog. Kakerdaja bog is located in the northern part of Järvamaa, on the edge of Kõrvemaa, and offers a varied, mystical, and romantic experience year-round. 

The trip is a discovery-filled bog hike, perfect for those who want to safely explore the bog's diverse nature with a guide. The hike focuses on observation, experience, and light movement. Distance is not the goal. Difficulty level is easy, suitable for beginners and children aged 12 and up. 

Movement takes place on snowshoes through landscapes between bog pools, floating bogs, and bog islands to Kakerdaja's central large bog lake and back. In winter, the bog offers frosty views, silence, and pleasant movement on the snowfield; in summer, bird songs, and in autumn, colorful foliage. 

At the end of the hike, you have the opportunity to enjoy campfire meals at the Forest Restaurant. Forest catering is perfect for families, friends, and companies as an addition and conclusion to the outing.
