Põltsamaa Wine Day
This summer's biggest Estonian wine festival takes place in Põltsamaa Castle's courtyard!
Põltsamaa Wine Day is part of the city's long winemaking tradition – berry and fruit wines have been produced here for nearly 100 years, and the area is even considered Estonia's "wine capital".
The festival, held in the atmospheric medieval castle courtyard, offers live music, crafts, and authentic Estonian food, as well as wine tasting. It is an ideal opportunity to experience something completely different from classical wine regions – the great story of a small country, where each glass tells its own origin. A large share of Estonian producers, including over half of the members of the Estonian Wine Trail, will gather at the event.
If you want to learn a little more about what's happening in your wine glass, come to the wine workshops – we speak simply and clearly about Estonian wines, flavors, and pairings. Põltsamaa Castle, its museum, castle tower, and the Põltsamaa Food and Wine Museum will be open, where you can explore the history of winemaking.
