Pääsküla Bog nature trail

The Pääsküla Bog nature trail is a unique location near Tallinn that offers an escape from the city noise and an opportunity to enjoy Nordic nature a mere 30 minutes from the city center.

The 4 km trail is made up of dirt paths and boardwalks through various types of forests, over canals, and past springs. In the Männiku area, a 10-meter-high observation tower offers a beautiful view of the landscape, providing a moment to rest and enjoy the silence. The 2-kilometer children's and accessible trail mainly runs on paved paths and is fully accessible with a stroller or wheelchair. Information boards introducing local nature are installed on both sections of the trail.

A genuine experience is also offered by the 280-meter-long floating boardwalk that leads deeper into the bog. In the summer, visitors are delighted by the blooming heather fields, while in winter, the magical snowy views are enchanting.

If you wish to pick berries or mushrooms, do so away from the trails and bridges to ensure that future hikers can experience the beauty of the bog landscape.

Some parts of the bog trail may be flooded.
