Nõmmeveski Waterfall

Discover one of Lahemaa's most powerful natural wonders – Nõmmeveski Waterfall and canyon!

In the midst of Lahemaa National Park's primeval nature, Nõmmeveski Waterfall awaits, with its wide, powerful flow creating a captivating view in every season. Although the waterfall is about 1.2 meters high, its powerful water mass and picturesque surroundings make it special. Next to the waterfall is the Nõmmeveski spring, which offers pure, cold groundwater to hikers in the area.

Next to the waterfall winds the Nõmmeveski canyon, about 470 meters long, with steep limestone walls and wild nature offering a real treat for both hikers and nature lovers. Here, untouched nature and exciting history meet. The impressive concrete ruins of the former watermill and the hydroelectric power station built in the 1920s have been preserved to this day, along with parts of the old water channel, giving the place a unique industrial feel.

On-site, visitors are greeted by a parking lot, information boards, a village swing, and viewpoints offering great views of the waterfall and canyon.
