Simisalu-Matsimäe nature trail

The Simisalu–Matsimäe nature trail is an approximately 7 km (total round trip up to 14 km) long hike in Järva County, on the edge of the Aegviidu–Kõrvemaa recreation area.

The hiking trail passes through Seli Bog, forests, and along old farm roads, covering a variety of landscapes. About 5 km of the hiking trail is along a boardwalk. Sixteen information boards on the trail introduce local species and landscapes. At the beginning of the trail is the 18m-high Simisalu observation tower, and in the middle of the trail, there is an observation platform for viewing the bogs.

The trail features campfire sites, camping facilities, and the Simisalu Nature Center, which offers dining and accommodation options.
