Narva-Jõesuu Lighthouse
Narva-Jõesuu Lighthouse is Estonia's easternmost lighthouse, located at the mouth of the Narva River, where the river meets the Gulf of Finland, and has been a landmark for ships entering from the sea into the river for over a century. The lighthouse was built in 1957. The height of the white-red striped concrete tower from the base is 31 meters, and the height of the light above sea level is 35 meters. It is an operational lighthouse, and the light flashes during dark hours all year round.
Visitors can climb to the upper platform and enjoy views of Estonia's longest sandy beach and the Narva River. In the summer high season, the lighthouse is open to individual visitors, and enthusiasts can climb to the top of the tower to the viewing platform and see the coastline from a new perspective. During the off-season, groups of at least 10 people are welcomed at Narva-Jõesuu Lighthouse with prior reservation.
