Matsalu Nature Film Festival

Do you want to experience the world's best nature documentaries in a place where nature itself is an integral part of the festival? The Matsalu Nature Film Festival (MAFF) invites you every autumn to Lihula, on the edge of Matsalu National Park – one of Europe's most important bird migration areas.

MAFF brings together filmmakers and nature enthusiasts from all over the world. Films from all continents are submitted to the festival, and only the finest nature films are selected for the international competition program.

During five days, film screenings, meetings with authors, nature photo exhibitions, lectures, and special events take place in Lihula. Then, selected films travel across Estonia for another week, reaching cinemas and cultural centers.
