Laibach Tour

Industrial-scandal legend Laibach will perform at Salme Cultural Center in Tallinn.

Laibach presents an entirely new concert program, featuring fresh material recorded over the past two years and selections from their extensive repertoire.

Born in 1980 in the coal-mining town of Trbovlje, Yugoslavia, the conceptual collective Laibach is one of the most influential pop culture phenomena to emerge from the former Eastern Bloc. Dubbed the world's most dangerous band by the British music press, the group's activities reflect both a desire and a disdain for power. For over four decades, Laibach has marched to their own beat, reworking Beatles songs and national anthems, touring North Korea, and setting Nietzsche's novel to music. Laibach deconstructs and undermines the totalitarian world.

Laibach's leader and ideologue, Ivan Novak, said, "We like everything that is undesirable."

As the philosopher Slavoj Žižek said, "Laibach is not the answer, but the question."
