Kostivere Karst area
The Kostivere Karst area is one of Estonia's best-known and largest heritage sites, popular with locals and visitors. It has a unique landscape and various landforms, and a secret river (Jõelähtme) flows underground — like Estonia's own Scotland!
You should definitely visit the karst area at different times of the year. It is a unique experience to walk on the smooth limestone slabs of the dry riverbed and observe the passage of time. In spring, the karst area can be flooded.
More information can be found on the sign at the Rebala Central Museum parking lot or through the museum with the help of certified local guides.
