IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship 2027: Division I Group A tournament in Tallinn

Tallinn will be a bit icier than usual in May 2027!

Six national teams, 15 games, and a week of top-level ice hockey. From May 1st to 7th, 2027, Tallinn will host the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship Division I Group A tournament.

Estonian hockey history will be made in Tallinn. No high-level national team hockey tournament has ever been held here before. Estonia, France, Italy, Great Britain, Poland, and Lithuania will compete at Tondiraba Ice Hall. France, Italy, and Great Britain have consistently played in the highest division against the world's best hockey nations.

The Estonian team will play five games in front of the home crowd, but hockey will be on for the entire week. One can come to Tallinn for a big game, a long weekend, or combine the World Championship with a few days of a springtime city break.

Between games, you don't have to wait in the hotel for the next face-off. Tallinn is small enough to reach Old Town, the seaside, and dinner in one day.

If you plan to come to Tallinn in spring 2027, there is one more good reason to do so.
