Glass bead making workshop

The studio KlaasiPank in Kärdla, Hiiumaa, invites you to discover the world of glass art and the fascinating history of Estonia's glass industry, with roots dating back to the glass workshop that started in Hüti, Hiiumaa, in 1628.

At KlaasiPank, you can participate in workshops where every visitor can try their hand at glassmaking. In the workshop, enthusiasts can create small items from colorful glass rods in a hot flame – shape glass beads, animals, or learn glass cutting and assemble glass coasters from colorful glass pieces, which later fuse together in a kiln at 750 degrees.

Personal workshops are held by prior arrangement and are suitable for couples, families, and small groups of friends. Glass artist instructors introduce tools, materials, and techniques, and help each participant create something completely unique. The finished items can be taken home as a souvenir or sent by mail upon request.
