Exhibition "Symphony of Nature and Art. Serlachius Art Collection"

The exhibition introduces, for the first time in Estonia, the Gösta Serlachius Art Foundation collection, one of Finland's top collections. The core of the collection, established by industrialist Gösta Serlachius, comprises Finnish art from the golden age, from the late 19th to the early 20th century, with the works of Akseli Gallen-Kallela taking center stage. The collection also includes Western European old masters and contemporary (Finnish) art, which is the foundation's mission to collect today.

At the exhibition showcasing the Serlachius collection at the Kadriorg Art Museum, Finnish art classics, Western European old masters, and Finnish contemporary art are placed in dialogue. Represented art forms include painting, graphics, photographic art, and small sculptures.

The exhibition features works by Albert Edelfelt, Akseli Gallen-Kallela, Jusepe de Ribera, Anna Retulainen, Helene Schjerfbeck, Hugo Simberg, and Anu Tuominen, among others.

Curators: Greta Koppel and Tomi Moisio.
