Exhibition "EGS Consulate"
The multilayered exhibition by the internationally renowned Finnish street artist EGS (b. 1974) at PoCo Pop Art Museum reflects the intertwined history of Helsinki and Tallinn through new and old works and various mediums: paintings, glass sculptures, ceramics, and site-specific installations. With this exhibition, the artist also reveals his personal connection to Tallinn's fading industrial landscape.
EGS is the most internationally recognized Finnish graffiti artist. His style combines traditional graffiti with contemporary art, creating stylized world maps, sculptures, and glass art. His work focuses on themes of geography, political history, and identity.
In collaboration with artist Viktor Gurov, a series of hand-painted ceramic dishes inspired by the legendary Tallinn Ceramics Factory in Kopli is being produced. EGS worked on this territory for fifteen years and created his first street art pieces there.
