Exhibition-audio performance "From loss to horizon" at ERM
The exhibition-audio performance "From loss to horizon" created at the Estonian National Museum for the Year of the Estonian Book offers an emotional journey that ranges from anguish and helplessness to feelings of self-discovery and liberation.
The curator and artist aim to translate the expressive power of fiction and the underlying motifs of refugee literature into a spatial experience. The exhibition-audio performance adds a visual and spatial poetic, even directly tactile experience to literary expression, placing visitors in the middle of the motifs of refugee literature, so that the words begin to create an environment.
Note: A visit to the exhibition lasts approximately 45 minutes. The viewer-listener is guided by sound coming from the headphones. The movement takes place in a narrow space, and during the performance, you have to lie down and sit for a moment. Due to the spatial limitations and other technical specifications, the exhibition-audio performance may not be accessible to people with special needs (e.g. it cannot accommodate a wheelchair).
This summer, with the help of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a virtual tour of the audio performance will be completed, which will be accessible to everyone.
