Estonian War Museum

The proper place for war is in a museum. Viimsi Manor near Tallinn was the summer home of General Johan Laidoner, who led the Estonian troops to victory in the War of Independence. Here, you can get an overview of all the wars in which Estonia and Estonians have had to take part throughout the ages.

Step into the general's office, climb into the forest brothers' bunker, and see a large selection of weapons, historical uniforms of the Estonian military, and much more. The military equipment hangar displays a wide range of cannons and military vehicles, including two tanks. In the museum's courtyard, there is a real armored train that was used in the War of Independence. Children can romp around in their very own Play Headquarters.
