Estonian Museum of Natural History

At the Estonian Museum of Natural History, Estonia's environment is in the palm of your hand! We inspire people to notice, understand, and preserve nature.

Located in Tallinn's Old Town, the museum's building spans three floors and features diverse exhibits that introduce Estonia's nature.

The permanent exhibition allows visitors to explore the origin and lifestyle of Estonian bogs, as well as their importance and role. In the forest hall, visitors are welcomed by a display of mammals, birds, and insects, including the rare flying squirrel and the largest mammal in Estonian forests, the moose. The geological hall offers insights into Estonia's geological history, extending back 2,000 million years.

The museum also offers a variety of temporary exhibitions that present Estonia's nature from constantly renewed perspectives, providing every visitor the chance to learn something new. Temporary exhibitions complement the permanent ones, making each museum visit a unique experience.

Our audio guide is available in Estonian, English, Finnish, and Russian!
