Väätsa's Christmas windows have grown from the dream of a small community to the pride of the entire county – today, the windows are decorated by schools, kindergartens, senior clubs, dance groups, businesses, and ordinary people from Järva County. Together, they create a magical fairy-tale journey that attracts visitors from all over Estonia and beyond.

On the opening day of the Christmas windows, a traditional Christmas market also takes place.

Väätsa's Christmas windows are not merely a local tradition – in 2024, they gained international attention when Green Destinations selected the story "The Community that Lit the Christmas Flame" among the world's 100 best success stories.
