A boat trip with a tour guide to Hara Island

Discover the mysterious Hara Island on a guided tour of Hara Harbor, where ancient nature and exciting history intertwine.

The journey begins with a ride in a fishing boat, taking you across Hara Bay amidst beautiful views. The island welcomes you with wild trails, a harbor quay, a lighthouse, and ruins of buildings from industrial times. Together with an experienced guide, you will learn how a small island of 10 hectares once housed a couple of hundred people and why it was here that the very famous Tallinn sprats were first packed into tin cans. On the walk, you will be introduced to the island's rise and fall, the beautiful nature of Lahemaa, and the rich world of birds and insects.

The tour is suitable for the whole family – it's worth bringing comfortable shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, and, if necessary, eco-friendly insect repellent. The experience is made special by the view of the mainland from the sea, which is rarely experienced otherwise.
