Blood sausage-making workshop at Jõeääre Holiday Center
Discover Estonian Christmas flavors at a blood sausage-making workshop at Jõeääre Holiday Center! About a 45-minute drive from Tallinn in Harju County, you can get hands-on and prepare one of Estonians’ most beloved holiday dishes from start to finish.
Blood sausage is a traditional part of the Estonian Christmas table, often enjoyed with sauerkraut and lingonberry jam. The skills for making it have been passed down through generations, and making sausages together brings people closer. The workshop lets you experience this culinary heritage firsthand.
In the approximately three-hour workshop, you take part in all stages of preparation, bake the sausages, and enjoy a shared Christmas dinner with beer-braised cabbage and potatoes. To finish, cake and coffee or tea await you. You can take the recipe and the remaining sausages home.
The workshop can accommodate 6–25 participants. Stay overnight in the Jõeääre Holiday House with a sauna and enjoy a break on the banks of the Vasalemma River! Relax in the hot tub, explore the surroundings on a hike, or order a cocktail class or painting workshop for your group.
Please book the workshop at least two days in advance!
