Birdwatching trips in Hiiumaa, Saaremaa, and Matsalu National Park with an experienced guide

Our birdwatching trips take you to Europe's birding paradise – the coasts, forests, and wetlands of Estonia. Estonia is located on one of Europe's most active migration routes, where millions of birds pass through in spring and autumn. Over 50 million waterfowl and waders migrate along the northwestern Estonian coast, and numerous songbirds fly through the inland. This makes Estonia a special place for both experienced birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts who wish to see something truly memorable.

The trips focus on the best habitats where you can encounter both resident and migratory species. We conduct birdwatching trips in Hiiumaa and Saaremaa, as well as in Matsalu National Park, which is one of Estonia's most renowned stopover sites for migratory birds. An experienced guide helps identify birds by their call, behavior, and flight pattern and shares knowledge about Estonia's bird diversity. Binoculars are available on the trip, so you can come without your own equipment.

It is possible to book nighttime owl-watching or special trips to observe rarer species, such as the Steller's eider.
