Alutaguse National Park and Visitor Center
Alutaguse National Park is the newest national park in Estonia in one of the country's most forested regions, with primitive nature reminiscent of the taiga. The national park has hiking trails, forests and bogs filled with berries and mushrooms. Lake Peipsi is on the park's southern border. Alutaguse National Park is one of the best places in Estonia to observe bears.
The visitor center acts like the park's southern gateway and provides a good overview of Alutaguse. There, you can view the permanent exhibition on display before venturing into the park.
