Visit Estonia 2025 rep agencies' meet-up, June 10-13

2025 representatives' meet-up, June 10 - 13, vol 5

We are delighted to announce a Team Estonia get-together, June 10 - 13! This will be the 5th edition of our meet-ups and will gather our B2B representation agencies as well as our PR agencies and Visit Estonia B2B and media teams.
Some of you are familiar with most corners of Estonia, but this time we thought to bring you to Estonia's second-largest island Hiiumaa, known for its seclusion, serenity, and silence; and Haapsalu, picturesque little town with narrow streets, a miniature town hall and romantic wooden dwelling houses. Like before, there will be opportunities to get to experience the place but also a chance to learn from each other's experience promoting Estonia - some homework awaits, as per usual.

Scroll down for the itinerary (details are added as we go) and read some more about where we are headed!

NB! June is the month with longest daylight, to enjoy the famous white nights, but it also can be moody sometimes. So once again, we suggest to keep a waterproof jacket at hand and something warmer along too, there might be surprises, especially for longer outdoor stays😊

Our team here is sure we will have a good time like the previous meet-ups have proven!

Your itinerary:

Monday, June 9th

Individual arrivals.

We allow ourselves to assume that you are experienced enough to either take the taxi or public transport to the city centre.
We recommend downloading the BOLT app (that is available also in several other countries), this Estonian platform gets you a car with very reasonable prices!

Check in to Park Inn by Radisson Meriton Hotel.
The hotel is just a short walk from the Old Town, from Toompea Hill for views. The hotel has wellness facilities, bringing swimwear might be an idea.

Tuesday, June 10th

Checked out from the hotel, luggage can be put to the bus that leaves to Hiiumaa on its own, and the group will be trying out the flight connection instead.

11:00 - 15:00 Working session in Tallinn, venue TBA.

The assignment: we kindly ask you to prep a presentation that includes:

- 5min overview of the current market situation, important trends to note or such;
- 10min reflection, comparing how the market looked when you started vs now, highlighting key changes, actions taken, and their impact; a difficult one for newcomers, however, you can be creative. The impact is always the most important thing we’re after in our target market activities.
- a pitch for one specific impactful future initiative your agency proposes to carry out, can be B2B and PR aligned or just one of them
- please prepare also ppt-slides, which we kindly ask you to send ahead, in order to avoid the switching of the cords and laptops during the presentations.

PS
From Visit Estonia, both marketing as well as development/analytics teams, are present on the session, to learn more about the quirks and developments of our target markets, the insights our rep partners offer.

After the session, transfer to Tallinn airport

17:00 - 17:30 Tallinn - Kärdla flight.
Please note that for this domestic flight the baggage allowance is 1 checked bag (15 kg) and 1 carry-on bag (8 kg), in case you could not for some reason put your luggage in the bus in the morning.

On arrival we are welcomed by a Hiiumaa tourism representative, enjoy a welcome drink at Kärdla Harbour, visit a distillery and have a dinner, either at Ungru or Roograhu, depending on the weather.

The group will be divided among three different accommodations, ca 20min drive from our landing spot:
Kassari Holiday Resort Hotel, Liilia Hotel and Kassari apartment

Near the accommodations there is a nature trail called Sääre Tirp - we recommend to take an after-dinner stroll, we will also check options for bicycles (limited nr).

Day in Hiiumaa

The flight arrives In Kärdla, a tiny capital of Hiiumaa. With only 9,000 residents, Hiiumaa is rich in character and charm - what it lacks in population, it more than makes up for it with its unspoiled nature, quirky authenticity and timeless tranquility.

We will be adventuring around the island, visiting different sites that define it. Some of the most significant attractions are the historical lighthouses like Kõpu and Tahkuna, a small wool factory Vaemla Villavabrik, Mihkli Farm Museum with smoke sauna, and a new repurposed addition to the scene - Viscosa Culture Factory and its Art Cafe with an artsy direction.

Hiiumaa's landmarks are located apart from each other and a bit hidden, but are well worth the exploration. We're thinking surf beaches, a desert called Kaibaldi nõmm in the middle of the forest, artesian wells that supply purest of water, a Hill of Crosses and WWII bunkers. But also Lavender Farm, Tuuletorn and Military museum, sailing trips, bicycle routes, tennis courts, seal watching tours, horse rides, go-cart tracks and a number of great eateries.
Check Hiiumaa website for more ideas and new openings!

17:30 - 18:45 Heltermaa - Rohuküla ferry to mainland. Before boarding the ferry there is a good chance to buy yourself a Hiiumaa souvenir from the Heltermaa harbour's handicraft shop.

At the mainland - a short drive to Haapsalu, a small seaside town.

19:00 Check-in to Hestia Hotel Haapsalu Spa, surrounded by the sea on three sides, with beautiful nature views

20:00 Dinner at the Old Hapsal Hotel, hosted by Daire, whose passion for local cuisine has been enriched by her culinary experiences in countries like Greece, India, and France.

Daire will also share the captivating story of how the former Calculation Station transformed into the charming family-run Old Hapsal Hotel. It’s more than just a meal—it’s a journey through flavors and history, served with warmth and hospitality.
