Tallinn Photomonth Contemporary Art Biennial
Tallinn Photomonth Contemporary Art Biennial began in 2011 by the Estonian Union of Photography Artists (FOKU), which manages and supports cooperation between exhibition venues, curators, and artists. Photomonth presents works from several different areas of visual culture to make sense of developments in art and society in a world intensely mediated through cameras, screens, and images.
As part of Photomonth, an international urban space exhibition will take place on six surfaces around the intersection of Tallinn Kaubamaja.
Photographers from Estonia and Finland will also join in this year's Photomonth. This new international cooperation begins with a joint exhibition in the Hobusepea and FOKU galleries, where the works produced for the exhibition will treat photography as a means of technical, cultural, emotional, and political expression.
