Ice Age Centre
The Ice Age Centre is an interactive experience centre in Tartu County, on the shores of Lake Saadjärv, which takes visitors on a journey through time from the last ice age to the present day, exploring the development of the universe, the Earth, and life itself.
The Centre's symbols are mammoths that lived 10,000 years ago, but you can also see cave lions and other Ice Age animals. The exhibition explains the causes of climate change, the impact of human activities, and future scenarios, helping visitors understand the role of humans in shaping the environment. You can take part in themed tours and listen to an audio guide.
In summer, you can take a raft ride on Lake Saadjärv, and a café awaits visitors all year round.
