Viljandi Trepimägi

Trepimägi is one of the most symbolic places in the city of Viljandi, connecting the historic old town with Lake Viljandi. It is not just a pedestrian path, but a place where history, architecture, and nature intertwine.

Trepimägi was built at the end of the 19th century to improve the connection between the city and the lake. Architecturally beautiful villas belonging to the city's merchants and wealthier residents were built here. The staircase has five flights of stairs and a total of 158 steps.

Trepimägi offers stunning views of Lake Viljandi and the surrounding natural landscape. It is an ideal place for walks and photography at any time of the year.
