See photos (7) This Tartu tour is focusing on the SmartEnCity project, with emphasize on retrofitting of outdated panel houses - more known as the “khrushchyovka” house - rebirth into “smartovka”. It gives overview of the city planning during 100 years, life conditions in Soviet Union and rebirth of the buildings into A energy class houses.
An important part of this project is art murals on 16 buildings in Tartu city centre which we will visit on the SmartEnCity electric bicycles (1h) or explore by walk (1,5h).
