Mukri nature trail
The Mukri Bog, located near Eidapere, was formed through the paludification of a lake approximately 10,000–9,000 years ago and is considered one of the oldest bogs in Estonia.
A boardwalk leads into the bog, and the hiking trail is ideal for families with children. Within the bog lies Mukri Lake, a 2.2-hectare water body adorned with small islands and water lilies. Those unafraid of dark waters can enjoy a swim here, and the bog hummocks offer an opportunity for berry picking.
Along the trail, there is an 18-meter-high observation tower that provides a stunning panoramic view of the entire bog. If the boardwalk feels too easy, you can also opt for a bog-shoe hike.
