Forest brother’s bunker

The restored bunker of forest brother Martin Tamme is a glance into the lives of forest brothers. Tamme lived in the forest for a total of 10 years, 6 of them in this very bunker. He lived in four different bunkers in total. Near the bunker, you can meet Tamme’s brother, who will be happy to tell you tales about the heroic endeavours of the forest brothers. You can also see weapons used at the time and try meals the forest brothers survived on.

NB! Visits to the bunker are organised through Väike-Maarja museum, from where a guide will take you to the bunker.
