A.H. Tammsaare Museum in Vargamäe
The birthplace of author Anton Hansen Tammsaare at Vargamäe invites you to discover the story of the novel "Truth and Justice" at its birthplace.
In the Green House, a modern permanent exhibition awaits you. On large digital screens, a short performance based on the symbols of the five parts of "Truth and Justice" is shown. The screens seem to communicate with each other, creating a captivating visual experience. Additionally, you can choose to view presentations on Tammsaare's life, his work, and the significance of his birthplace.
The exhibition highlights five meaningful original items located in black "black box" showcases. A selection of Tammsaare's work is also displayed.
The outdoor exhibition takes you into nature: a scannable code opens a mobile application where you can choose between five different trails. At each marker, scan the barcode, listen to the story, and move to the next marker.
The museum also organizes tours for groups and schools to introduce the writer's birthplace and the locations featured in "Truth and Justice."
Come and learn about Tammsaare's heritage and see where it all began.
