Ristna Visitor Center

The Ristna Visitor Center is the central information point for Hiiumaa's recreational area, where you can find information on the region's hiking trails, camping opportunities, and natural features.

In the center's main building, you can explore changing exhibitions, play and craft in the play corner, participate in nature education programs, and watch nature films.

In the auxiliary building is the “Sea Department Store” – it is not a shopping center in the usual sense. There is much to see and ponder here. Everything on display has been collected from the beaches of our home island; the supplier circle extends to the other side of the world; all common product groups are represented; and the common denominator is marine debris.

In the courtyard of the visitor center, there is a campfire site and camping area, and you can also explore local natural herbs. From here, the 1.5 km-long Ristna Nature Trail begins, introducing forestry heritage and the life of primeval forests, offering plenty to discover along a short walk.

All hikers, holidaymakers, and other interested parties are welcome to get information or to look around, relax, and have a picnic in the courtyard!
