Suur Munamägi, Haanja küla, Rõuge vald, Võru maakond
The Monument to the War of Independence was erected in 1932 to commemorate the soldiers of the 1st Cavalry Regiment who fought and perished in the Munamägi battle during the War of Independence. The monument was re-opened on 7 august 1988.

Drive about 13 km from Võru towards Haanja, pass the village of Haanja and there is a parking lot at the roadside on your left. The monument stands at the side of the road at the foot of Suur Munamägi.
