Talvepilgar - Winter Folk Dance Festival

Once again, Kohtla-Nõmme invites all dance enthusiasts to gather among its snowy artificial hills and music – Talvepilgar II is back!
This unique winter dance festival takes place at the Estonian Mining Museum, where the rhythms of the land and people come together in one joyful dance story. All folk dancers, folklore lovers, and those who simply enjoy moving to music are welcome to join a day when traditional folk costumes shine in the crisp winter air, the music makes your feet dance, and dancing outdoors in the snow becomes a true winter adventure.

The program includes well-known Estonian folk and social dances, enjoyed together under the open winter sky – movement, laughter, and warm community spirit are guaranteed! After the shared dance joy and outdoor fun, the celebration continues indoors at the Mining Museum’s main hall, where lively performers and musicians will keep the party going at a cheerful folk dance party (simman).

Come and be enchanted by the magic of folk dance, the charm of winter, and the sparkle of snow – Talvepilgar II is the place where the heart dances and winter feels warm!
