Exhibition “Village life on the North Coast of Peipus in the early 20 th century”

The exhibition gives an overview of village life on the north coast of Peipus in the early 20 th century. We explore old-fashioned rye cuttings, hay snails, fishing and log rafts, and tell the stories of the people of those days and are based on field work materials stored in the Estonian People's Museum (ERM). Visitors will find out about the scrap pickers and ethnologists who have come across the area over the ages. At the heart is the outdoor work of ERM director Ferdinand Linnuse in the summer of 1936 to the Tudulinna and Beach Bunger area, where the camera captured local life, mostly the works and works of Kelu talu.
