See photos (13) The Alutaguse health and sports centre is situated close to Pannjärve in the Kurtna lakelands. The surrounding forests have trails measuring 1, 2, 3, 5, 7.5 and 20 km. In winter you can ski (both freestyle and classic) on lit tracks measuring 2 and 3 km. There is also a sledding slope and climbing track for children.
The ski lodge has changing rooms and shower facilities. In summer you can cycle, run or go Nordic walking on the same tracks. Also located nearby is the Pannjärve tubing park, which is unique in Estonia – you can go tubing there all year round.
Food and drinks
Driving along the Jõhvi-Vasknarva highway, you will see a sign around 15 km after Jõhvi pointing you in the direction of the Pannjärve health and sports centre. Follow the signs a further 5 km to the centre.
